Saint Agnes Catholic School is named a National Blue Ribbon School for the third time in 2014

The U.S. Department of Education named Saint Agnes School a National Blue Ribbon School for the third time.  Saint Agnes School earned this award because of its Exemplary Academic Achievement school wide.  Saint Agnes School was the first elementary school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to be awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award three times!!! Saint Agnes School first earned the award in 1999, then in 2005 and again in 2014. Way to go, Aggie students! 

4H Speech Contest State Winner

Again this year, Saint Agnes School had a student win the state level competition in Speech.  Allison R. earned a trophy this summer for her speech about her dog.  Congratulations, Allison!

Elks Club Essay Writing Contest Winners

In a special ceremony Lauren E. placed 1st, Elizabeth N. placed 2nd, and Lilly N. placed 3rd in their respective age groups for their essays.  Congratulations students! 

Saint Agnes Catholic School Robotics Teams

Saint Agnes competes in RCX, VEX and Sumobot Robotics.  This year, Saint Agnes School advanced from Regionals to State to INTERNATIONAL Competition!  Saint Agnes School students performed very well and we were the only Catholic Elementary school and were one of only two elementary schools from Jefferson County to advance to International competition in VEX IQ.  Way to go Ms. Raidt and her accomplished team including Casten, Norbert, Jack B., Jack D., & Gabe!  Congratulations for participation in past events go to Norbert and Gabe who took 1st place in the Elementary Sumo Bot division.  

Regional Governor's Cup 2016

Congratulations to the Saint Agnes Catholic School Future Problem Solving Team who advanced after a 1st place win during District Competition to a 2nd place win at Regionals!  As a result of this strong win, the team again earned the opportunity to advance to State Competition scheduled for March 2016.  Members of the team include:  Rachel B., Gus B., Jack D., Sarah K., Peter R., Norah W.,   

Congratulations to all of our students who competed at District and advanced to Regionals.  In Science, Paul G.,  in Arts and Humanities, Gus B. and Paul G., in Social Studies, Ben H., in Composition Writing, Ella C., Campbell C., Maddie H., and Our Quick Recall team, who placed 2nd at District, advanced to play several teams including those from public, private, and Catholic schools. Our Saint Agnes Catholic School Quick Recall team members include Gus B., Norbert B., Campbell C., Jack D., Kate H., Maddie H., Ben H., Norah W. The team placed 5th at 2016 Regional Competition.  It was a wonderful experience for all who participated!  

KYA-Kentucky Youth Assembly Results

6th, 7th and 8th graders, along with teachers and parents,  attend the KYA conference each fall.  The delegation sponsors three bills each year.  Highlights of recent conference experiences include:

  • Three recent KYA bills were ranked in the top half of all bills and presented in Frankfort
  • Two of three recent bills passed the KYA House and Senate and were signed into law by the KYA Governor
  • Our recent Early Childhood Education bill was ranked Best Premier Bill
  • A Saint Agnes 8th grader was recognized as a Delegate of Excellence
  • Saint Agnes Catholic School was recognized as a Delegation of Excellence
  • Saint Agnes Catholic School was voted as the Best New Delegation-the highest award possible
